I spent the Memorial Day Weekend in Humboldt County, camping amongst the Redwoods. Part of me just loves being in nature, and the other part just likes using the expensive gear I bought for the occasion.
This Snowpeak headlamp is one of those toys.
The video does a pretty job explaining why it’s a lot more awesome than everything else on the market, but I had to really put it through the paces to be convinced. It’s brighter than most headlamps, but for me the greatest benefit was that the damn thing transforms into a hanging lantern! Most tents have a little hook at the ceiling, perfect for it to hang from. Aside from it looking like something a stupid snowboarder might wear, it is hands-down the best headlamp out there.
