The secret meaning of the lines on a Solo cup
When some unknown ancient civilization invented the Solo cup, they placed several lines on the outside of the cup, seemingly at random intervals. Was it a star chart? A moon calendar? A representation of their water god? Recently internet memiticians have uncovered the startlingly simple pattern behind those lines. Are you ready for this?

There you have it, the ancients used those marks to measure out appropriate quantities of alcohol, just like today’s college kids do at frat parties. Nevermind that Solo is moving away from that cup design…this is still an amazing discovery. (via stellar)

thethirdbottle: I wish I could remember more about this wine but I was drinking it while watching Before Sunset, a movie that always has me in tears by the 8 minute marker. God, so many thoughts go through my head: Man, they haven’t seen each other in 10 years, They’re old, I’m getting old, We’re all getting old, We all die, I’m going to die, Why am I not sitting in a French cafe right now? The thoughts, the tears, they flow, and so did this wine. I devoured it before I could even finish the movie, which I guess is a good thing? Anyway, all I remember is it tasted something like cinnamon or cobbler. Or something. What does it matter? We’re all getting old!
